NURO | NUOS - Communication by Brain

NURO is a Waterloo start-up specializing in neurotechnology and the creator of NUOS, the Neural Operating System. With NUOS, incapacitated individuals can communicate and compute today using brain signals. NUOS is Health Canada cleared and is clinically authorized as the only non-invasive technology of its kind in the United States.

We welcome any question ! Please note that we are currently seeking new patients in various stages of akinetic mutism across Canada and the United States. NUOS can be implemented with individuals with these conditions: Spinal Cord Injuries (C1 to C6), Brainstem Stroke, Ischemic Stroke w/ Akinetic Mutism, Neurodegenerative Diseases such as ALS (up to Locked-In Stage VI), Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Guillain-Barré Syndrome and more. We are thrilled to be accepting the inaugural Praxis Prize and we would like to express our gratitude to the Praxis Spinal Cord Institute, the Synapse Life Science Consortium, the Innovation Factory, all of the judges and all of our supporters for the past 6 years !!!... Bringing to market a ground-breaking technology in Healthcare is a massive effort and commitment and we would not have been able to do it without all of you. Last but not least, I would like to thank the entire NURO Team for their dedication, continued hard work and the belief that communication and computing by brain is in fact possible and a life changer for the incapacitated individuals who have suffered from traumatic injuries, stroke, neurodegenerative diseases and more. We will be releasing a brand new second-generation product-centric website very soon at nuro.ca and we invite all of you to learn more about NUOS to bring our work to the patients, the families and the caregivers who need it daily for communication.
