Innovation Factory established the Synapse Competition in 2014 to help entrepreneurs, scientists and researchers bring their ideas to market, increase revenues, attract investment and create jobs. In the competition, the innovators form teams with upper-year, and graduate-level college and university students who embark on a three-month training program to develop a commercialization plan and investor pitch in support of growing a viable business.
Though this year's Showcase is virtual, for the first time ever we can celebrate Ontario's life sciences innovators in all-new ways!
Also new this year, the Synapse Competition will award the Praxis Prize of $25,000 to Ontario-based entrepreneurs and researchers working on innovations to improve health outcomes for people with spinal cord injuries.
What hasn't changed? Our Synapse finalists are competing for their share of $75,000 in cash and in-kind resources, thanks to the support of our partners.
